The Empire Estates Four Bedroom Suites in Pod #2 - Under Construction

January 30, 2022

We had the opportunity to tour the Empire Estates 4 Bedroom Suite that is under construction in the second Estates building on the Jalisco side of the Ameca River. Pod #2 is what we will call it for lack of a better description.

We first saw construction at the Pod #2 site on January 1, 2020. The red drilling rigs in this photo are working where the new building will ultimately stand.

The red drilling machines are on the construction site for The Estates Pod #2 on January 1, 2020.

The exposed rebar pilings located between the Golf Academy and the red drilling rig towers appear to be support for some other unamed structure. Two years later, those pillars are still visible from the unit we toured, although they were hidden by shrubs and vegitation. We asked what the structure would become. We were told it will not be built because plans changed. Hopefully, those rusted pilings will be removed. If something is built, it will be in plain view of the unit we toured. This is an unanswered question.

Please keep in mind the point of this post is to show constrcution progress. The units are not complete, the building is not finished and the surrounding area is still under development. Allowing Vidanta members to become acquainted with these units beforehand is a way to keep members informed about and updated on progress and does not represent the final configuration of anything except perhaps the structural skeleton of the building itself.
Pod #2 - All 4 Bedroom Empire Estates Suites or a mix of 4, 2 and 1 Bedroom Empire Estates Suites? Our bet - All 4 BR Suites.
From what we could see, the building appears to be all 4 Bedroom Suites. Conversations were circulating about the building also including 1 Bedroom and 2 Bedroom Empire Estates Suites as well. To do so, the single deck would have to be split into two private sections. The two bedroom unit would likely be the at the end of the entry hall, and the one bedroom unit would be closest to the lobby. It is all possible because the separating wall between the two units would not be a bearing wall. The interior walls would could be manipulated any number of ways.

The 2 BR unit farthest from the concierge lobby and the 1 BR unit closest to the lobby. It is possible.

Business-wise, it may be good to include 1 and 2 bedroom units to give those owners a chance to use the units they bought. However, combining them in the current structure would require major modifications, which is not likely going to happen.

One other factor to consider: Reservations - You can make a reservation for an Empire Estates 4 BR Suite with an arrival date of maybe October, 2022, and certainly November, 2022. Reservations are not open for 2 BR and 1 BR empire Estates units and there is no anticipated opening date. That means no availability in the foreseeable future. It takes about 2 years from ground breaking to opening, so don't expect to stay in any Empire 2 BR or 1 BR Estates units before 2024. Speculation!!

Tour the Empire Estates 4 Bedroom Suite

Entry Hall

Here is the entry hallway. Very chic!

We come to the front door. This unit is so much like a home, it's incredible.

Come on in. This entry is very much like your home. Entrances to bedrooms are on the right side of the hall.

At the end of this hallway is the kitichen and kitchen counter on the left and the Great Room on the right.

Turn right at the door and proceed to the bottles, tunr left and you will find the Master Bedroom

Living Area

Here we are looking down the hallway to the front door and entrance to the Master Bedroom. You can't see the front door from here. It's down and to the right.

As we enter the living area, our eyes are drawn to the deck through the living room.

When we walk to the deck, we pause at the sliding glass doors at the corner of the living room area. Very dramatic!

Turning inward from the deck to the living area, the great room becomes aparent.

The seating area is very comforatble. The dining area is close to the kitchen where it should be.

Kitchen Area

At one end of the kitchen are the oven and refrigerator. Refrigerator makes its own ice, by the way. Wonderful!

On one side of the Pullman Kitchen are loads of shelfs for pantry items. Plan to comfotably feed a lot of people in these units.

The kitchen area has plenty of space. The cooktop is at the left end of the kitchen counter, while the other devices are in the middle.

At the far end of the kitchen in its own room are the laundry and a sink. Very handy, indeed!

Last but not least, there are more pantry areas. This unit has lots of storage.

Deck Views

Decks in other wings face each other. One Aimfair member worried about privacy. Is this an issue on these huge decks?

These are 100 foor long decks, and the lap pool is truly a lap pool.

All the bedrooms look onto and can access the deck.

The living area also opens onto the deck. It is large and comfortable.

An interesting touch are the sliders in the living area. They open in both ways at the corner. Plenty of circulation with this layout.

Leaving the Master Bedroom on the deck provides a view of the pool and the length of the deck. Again, it is 100 feet long.

The pool is there for a morning swim.

Looking across the pool from the Master Bedroom is a view of the first hole on the Nayar Course.

As you walk along the deck from the Master Bedroom to the living room area, you pass each of the other three bedrooms, all of which face the deck.

It is not unlike walking along the deck of a ship.

There are many seating areas between the two ends of the deck. Keep in mind that the furniture and ameniities are not finished and are for disply only. We are certain the Empire Estates units will receive the same attention to detail found in the other Estates accommodations.

At the end of the deck is the Living Room and family gathering area. This is definitely a family sized unit. BTW, note the two sliding glass doors that meet each other at the corner next to the round support pillar. Very cool!

Master Bedroom

The Master Bedroom and other bedrooms are smaller than the ones in the 2 story 4 Bedroom units. That said, they don't need to be large because we don't spend time there except to sleep.

The Master Bedroom and the others for that matter all open on to this very huge deck. Not much time will be spent in the bedrooms.

The Bathrooms are adequate too. Nothing like the Master Bath in the 3 Bedroom Loft or the 2 story 4 Bedroom Estates. But again, they are perfectly adequate.

A shower, plenty of closet space, a circulating tub and a place to wash your face is all we need.

Other Bedrooms

Entering one of three other bedrooms. Each is similar to the other.

Two bedrooms have two Queen beds in each. Two Master Bedrooms have kings.

One of two bedroom layouts.

Each bedroom has access to the deck.

Although at first the layout seems awkward, it will grow on you.

As is the case with the intermediate bedrooms, the bathrooms are relatively standard too.

Athough the bathrooms are plain, they serve the purpose and are convenient.

The Empire Estates decks are huge and the units will be enjoyable. What do you think?
