Six Wonderful Cities Now - East Cape Coming Soon

Nuevo Nayarit

Nuevo Nayarit

The gateway to the beautiful, Riviera Nayarit, the area called Nuevo Nayarit (formerly Nuevo Vallarta) is the most developed tourist center of this entire strip, which covers 305 kilometers ( 190 miles ) of beautiful beaches. It all starts on the North shore of the Ameca River. At this point, on the Bay of Banderas, the great hotel complexes are concentrated with an extensive offer of restaurants, spas, four golf courses, two amusement parks, two marinas and many seaside activities.

Being a relatively young tourist attraction, Nuevo Nayarit is unique. There is no nerve center around a central plaza to mark Nuevo Nayarit. Instead a strip of about two miles wide extends along the Pacific coast.

The extensive and calm beach of Nuevo Nayarit offers the opportunity to rest under the sun or to swim in a sea with moderate waves.

Every year, these same beaches receive the hawksbill, olive ridleys and leatherbacks turtles that arrive to lay their eggs, so there is a turtle camp whose objective is to preserve these species and which, in season, invites visitors to release the small hatchlings at sunset.

The destination is also a magnet for sailing lovers, since it has two of the most important marinas in the country, with a capacity for about 500 boats: Marina Nuevo Nayarit and Marina Paradise Village, offering beautiful views for those who stroll along its docks.

As its name implies, Nuevo Nayarit is new and growing. Restaurants are accessible. Resorts are opening and expanding. It will be home to a new Entertainment Park called the Sky Dream Parks owned and operated by Grupo Vidanta, a premiere resort developer and operator.

You can find just about anything imaginable at Nuevo Nayarit. We hope you will join the fun and visit often.

There is one recent occurrence: Nuevo Vallarta is now called Nuevo Nayarit - as of January 1, 2022 and June 21, 2022.

Located next to the Luxxe Tower One pool on one side and Cafe del Lago on the other, the new Chiringuito is in the same place where Limon y Salt and Blue Fish were located.

Chiriguito @ Luxxe Tower One Pool

Cuisine type: Spanish
$$

The food and service at Chiringutos remains outstanding in both cases. The Sardine Sandwich was perfect as a light, tasty meal. Other tasty items include their beet salad and Acapulco ceviche. All three items are well proportioned and perfect to either have alone or share. The ceviche might be an exception, though because it comes in a bowl that sits in shaved ice. Not bad prices - about $280 MP.

Chiriguitos @ Luxxe Tower One Pool

Cuisine type: Spanish
$$

Chiringuitos originally was located near the Grand Bliss pool and was famous for wonderful paella, Spanish Tapas and other tasty options.

One of our favorites is Beet Salad. You can find a beet salad in nearly all the fine dining and lunch time restaurants. The Chiringuitos version is the best in our view. Chunks of beets were larger, slices of tangerines and oranges were plentiful, and the beets were warm. Finally, the dressing was a tangy vinaigrette. If you like beets, Chiriguitos is the place to find them.
