Nuevo Vallarta - Evolution To Keep You On The Property

October 2, 2018

We "Old Timers" like the idea of being able to walk off the property to enjoy a meal at the local restaurants near Vallarta Marina. The grand kids and kids enjoyed the walk to Ocho Tosdadas and then catching a taxi home.

Although walking off the property is still an enjoyable activity, there are only a couple of ways that remain feasible. They are not difficult, just time consuming. One is walking to the Sea Garden then on the public streets; the other is walking through the Little Gate by the 17th tee box. This is the gate that the owners of the Condos use when they leave the property on foot.

That is all a good. Times have changed. Restaurants on the Vidanta property are very good, and the prices after taking taxi and inconveniences into consideration are actually very reasonable. Its just that we all like our freedom to choose, regardless of the economic or rational considerations.

So, what is the "Evolution" mentioned above? Well, take a look:

Renderings of the proposed retail facilities in the newly developed area. They look interesting but it is very likely the properties will change. Stay tuned....

The plan seems to be to change the property near the Mayan Palace Pool. This area is between the pool and lagoon.

Two restaurants are planned for this area - one called Corazon de Mar, a Latin American Seafood Restaurant and the other called Almaverde Kitchen, a Farm to Table restaurant. Wow!

Here is how the area currently looks, assuming construction has not yet begun:

What an interesting concept. The area offers stunning views of the ocean, but it is open and undeveloped. The resort does have to use its land in ways that will increase revenues and offer engaging experiences for guests and members. This has the potential for being a win-win proposition.
Although there will be consturction noise and activity during the next year or so, the final result, which may be available for use by the end of 2019, should be exciting! Stay tuned....
