Nuevo Vallarta Construction Update - From Linda in Seattle - in NV

Sunrises are spectacular. Sometimes better than sunsets. Linda certainly captured a beautiful sunrise in this photo.
Wow! Are you kidding? We have never seen a sunrise like this! Terrific!
Linda and her husband, Ken are in Nuevo Vallarta until February 28. Linda had a few things to say about the construction taking place there. She also sent along photos for us to enjoy. Here is what Linda has to say:
We will send pics in the next day or so but wanted to update all on the construction we've been seeing here at Nuevo:Wow!! Thank you Linda. We are excited for the changes that are taking place and the future that is in store. We hope those who will be in Nuevo Vallarta in the next several months will share with all of us the changes that have taken place between now tha then.
- The new parking/taxi entrance is still under construction but they are working at it daily. It runs along the golf course side of the current main entrance road;it's just toward the main entrance from the current parking/taxi area. Palapa roofs are almost complete and they are still pouring more concrete pads. It's big!
The new parking/taxi area is huge. It will take up half or so of the entrance to the property. For those of you who will be visiting Nuevo Vallarta in May or June, you may be treated to the nw facilities. Certainly we will in November.

- The new buildings (Bliss? MP? ??) are being worked on daily as well. These are the buildings on the old driving range near the main entrance. They just cut in 2 equipment access roads to the buildings a couple days ago. The buildings still look like shells at this point...I can't see any interior work being done but the view is very blocked from the road.
We are not sure what this structure will become. However, it is rumored to be a Bliss or Mayan Palace. We will just have to wait and see.
- The dirt area between the new Spa pool and the river is finally being sprinklered and planted. They've been moving dirt and digging sprinkler trenches. There's also a huge plastic sheet in the center but we aren't sure what it's for. It's not deep enough for a water feature so we'll wait and see what they are doing.

- There's a new cart path that just opened from the Spatium to Towers 4 and 5 (and on from there). It will save time and distance from the current roundabout cart trip back from the spa. There is also a pedestrian boardwalk that looks complete from buildings 4 & 5 to Spatium. It is closed off with potted plants right now, probably because it crosses the dirt landscaping area between Towers 3 & 4 and Santuario. Guessing they won't open it until that area is landscaped.
The walkway to the Spatium from the Residence Tower and SPA Tower 4 is a convenient addition to the elevated walkway system. It is a system that
- The new GL Tower 5 (the Butterfly building) is coming out of the ground and is being worked on daily.
Tower 5 is coming out of the ground. Some say it will rise at the rate of 3 weeks per floor. It will be fun to watch the progress, as we did with the Punta and other tower along the Ameca River.

- The Spa pool opened just before we arrived las month. The poolside restaurant is very good and there's also a new open air martini bar above the restaurant that no one seems to know about. Our pool waiter said it's open from 3pm-9pm and you can also eat there until 7pm when the restaurant closes. We'll check it out tonight.
The SPA Pool and Restaurant is very nice an intimate. We found the Food is very good. Looking forward to Linda and Ken's review of the rooftop portion of the restaurant. .
We already did our update but if anyone has questions about the current property (not the sales description) we would be happy to check things out.
Each dawn brings a new day. We will see what it brings for us all.

P.S. There was a crocodile in the moat a few weeks ago. Looked like a 6-8 footer just floating near Tower 2. Haven't seen him since but I suppose he's still there.
