Sherm's Photos of Riviera Maya Grand Luxxe Pool - Feb 12 - 18, 2011

Sherm visited the Grand Luxxe at Riviera Maya during the week of February 12 through February 18, 2011 and has shared with us his comments and photos of the Grand Luxxe Pool area.

This is great because we are seeing the Grand Luxxe facilities through several Members' cameras, all of whom have recently visited the Vida Vacation Club Riviera Maya property.

Here is what Sherm had to say:


Hi Bob...here are some pictures from our recent visit to GL in RM (Feb 12-18). The new GL pool will be open middle of March and it looks on schedule and will be fantastic. The buildings are only 3 stories and right now there do not have a lobby, only a small room to register. The second building is on the way and will be completed in Nov of this year. They say there will be linked to a grand lobby similar to PV but this is not confirmed. Also the buildings look right over the jungle and I think the 3hd floors will have the best "view", if you were on the first floor you would be looking right into the jungle. Also I think that the rooms 3309-3317 would be the best. Not sure about what would be the best in building 2.

Grand Luxxe Pool And Snack Bar Estimated Opening Date - March 15, 2011
New Grand Luxxe pool This photo shows the Grand Luxxe pool area during the week of Feb 12 - Feb 18, 2011. The Grand Luxxe pool and Snack Bar are scheduled to open mid-March, 2011. This new facility is located at the Vida Vacation Club Riviera Maya property on the East Coast of Mexico.

The Grand Luxxe pool is located near the Vida Vacation Club Grand Luxxe beach at Riviera Maya. Opening is scheduled for Mid-March 2011. View From Grand Luxxe Villa Decks in Building One - Rooms 3007 and 3008
The Grand Luxxe buildings are three floors high. Three buildings are tied together to make a triangular "pod". Each side of the triangle is a three story structure with Grand Luxxe Villa units on each corner and two Grand Luxxe units in between. Each triangle has 36 two bedroom units, comprised of 18 Grand Luxxe Villa units and 18 Grand Luxxe units. The Grand Luxxe Villa units are larger than the Grand Luxxe units. This photo is taken from the decks of rooms 3307 - 3308 in Building One. The building in the distance is Building Two. There will be four pods of Grand Luxxe buildings at the Grupo Vidanta / Vida Vacation Club Riviera Maya property. Building two is scheduled to open in November 2011. Buildings Three and Four could open in 2012.
