Puerto Penasco is beautiful! The beach is broad and wide, the golf course is exceptional and the facilities are expanding. Word is work is being done to introduce Luxxe floor plans soon.
Puerto Penasco News - Water Park and Luxxe Units

On March 1, 2015, the first Grand Mayan building opened in Puerto Penasco. Since then, news from this beautiful area has been scanty. We know there is a challenging golf course on the property. We also know that the beach is long and broad. Everyone who has provided us with their photos have been complementary about the facilities.Granted, construction of new floor plans in Nuevo Vallarta and Riviera Maya has taken front stage. Grand Luxxe units have been most prolific in Nuevo Vallarta and Riviera Maya. SPA Suites, Loft Residences, Residences, one room Luxxe Studio Lofts and now, opened in June, 2017 in Riviera Maya, 1 BR Luxxe Jungle Suites have all been introduced in a relatively short period of time. Overlay the Cirque du Soleil opening in Riviera Maya, construction of the Harringbone Restaurant in San Jose del Cabo, construction of roads on the East Cape property above San Jose del Cabo and continued conversation about the Park in Nuevo Vallarta on the current activity, and one can see there is hardly any room for Puerto Penasco to get a word in edgewise.
That said, we are now able to show changes taking place on the property. A new Lazy River is open. A new water park is planned and under construction. Luxxe units are now under construction too. So, it appears more is on the horizon for Puerto Penasco, and it looks very promising for owners of Luxxe, Grand Mayan, Mayan Palace and possibly Grand Bliss contracts.

The map shown above shows the property as it may be completed in the near future. Note the upper floors in the building with the number 1 on it. They appear to be two story Loft-like units. But then, this is only speculation. That said, the lower floors are said to be Luxxe floor plans. Stay Tuned....(Please tap the image to expand and tap the browser's back arrow to return.)
The new Lazy River in Puerto Penasco is open and operating. A water park is also planned. Construction is to be completed soon.
In addition to the hardscape guest features such as the Lazy River and Water Park, the beach provides a huge area to roam and enjoy.
It is not entirely clear where the Water Park will be located, but it will be a fairly large activity, based upon the plans shown above. It may even be an enclosed park for use in the winter months too.
