East Cape - First Design Images - Lindsa_m

May 22, 2014

East Cape has captured our imagination for years. We hear that the property has been owned by the developer since well before the San Jose del Cabo Grand Mayan resort was built. As you will recall, it opened in 2007.

As an aside, It would seem the developer has considerable farsight and has made land purchases well in advance of perceived demand. Another case in point is the 20,000 acres the developer owns 25 miles south of Puerto Penasco. This developement has not even started, relative to the land available for development. But that discussion is for another day.

Actionslax first shared the East Cape plans with us in January, 2013. Then cromary sent us images of the East Cape map in August, 2013. This year, Lindsa_m shared his comments and images of the East Cape plans from his discussions while on vacation in April, 2014.

Now we see for the first time what the developer is considering......today. However, we must always dligently keep the following disclaimer in mind, because the only constant in the many new developments we have seen is....change:
These materials and the features and amenities described and depicted are based upon current development plans, which are subject to change without notice. No Guarantee is made that the features, amenities and facilities depicted by artists renderings or otherwise described will be povided, or if povided, will be of the same type, size or nature as described or depicted. The development of this community is expected to take many years and the developement plans will likely be modified from time to time to respond to existing market conditions and changes in circumstances. The developer reserves the right to modify these development plans at any time without notice.

A key word is Community:

East Cape Rendering 5-21-14.jpg

From Lindsa_m:
This rendering does not show the 500 foot elevation as described to me during my update. Allegedly they are going to build 350 single family homes on this property. Looks like Vida is going to branch out of timeshare and into home ownership. Only time will tell.

Well, on we go. The future is unfolding, slowly but surely.

One Aimfair member told us the sales manager at the San Jose del Cabo Grand Mayan said the only way to buy use of facilities in the East Cape project, which the developer is now calling a community, not a resort, is to buy in San Jose del Cabo. Well, could that be true? Maybe, if the only product sold will be deeded ownerships, not rights to use contracts. Our hope and expectation is there will be mixed ownership/use options. We will see....
Thank you Lindsa_m. You have stirred the pot. We will all.....Stay Tuned!
